Project Overview
As a Data Analyst Intern in collaboration with Northeastern University and Aspire Institute, company dedicated to providing career development services for university students and alumni, my group focused on optimizing Aspire's alumni newsletter. The goal was to boost engagement and retention by implementing data-driven content and distribution strategies for this key communication channel.

Data Analysis & KPI Identification: Analyzed data from over 30,000 alumni newsletter recipients, identifying key performance indicators (e.g., Open Rate, Click-Through Rate, Bounce Rate, Unsubscribe Rate) and emerging engagement trends.
Data Visualization: Developed more than 20 distinct data visualizations to effectively communicate complex findings.
Recommendation Presentation: Presented top recommendations based on the analytical findings to stakeholders. These actionable strategies were designed to directly increase engagement and retention for Aspire's content.
What I Learned
I learned the importance of data storytelling and presenting complex analyses through clear, compelling visualizations to share insights and recommendations to stakeholders. Raw data is only a starting point, and the ability to extract meaningful trends and present them coherently is vital for driving organizational change. Furthermore, the project reinforced the value of effective communication and teamwork, as sharing ideas and collaborating ensured that the best data-driven strategies were formed and conveyed.
